I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Milo Credit (Miami, FL) in Mar 2022
Interview
Interview was not very professional. There was no structure or introduction to how the interview would go given that they reach out to me rather than me applying. It sounded like the person was chewing gum and they were also moving things into a drawer at their desk while I was talking, so I felt like they weren’t listening to me and completely threw me off for the rest of the interview. I was asked to email my resume, but I didn’t because of this bad first impression.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself.
Tell me what you do in your current role.
I received email about the available slots and desired work location.
I mentioned very clearly that I am looking for opportunities only in NJ/NY areas. After two days, I received "kind of" rude reply that "relocation is not in your plan, it may be best to not waste time if the opportunities do not align".
I DON'T HAVE WORDS TO DESCRIBE ANYTHING FURTHER.
Let's just say, I am glad that they informed about job location plans before any actual interview rounds or offer letter.
Phone call with the hiring manager/recruiter. Asked general questions about my background. Although the role was listed as open in my state with nowhere in the job ad listing they expected relocation, I was told during the call I would eventually be expected to relocate to Miami. I said that wouldn't be possible for me. Unsurprisingly, I was rejected a few days later. The lack of transparency wasn't great.
