I applied for a role and was invited for the first round of interviews with their People Operations Manager within about two weeks. The scheduling process was smooth and communication was quick, which I appreciated.
The interview itself went really well, or at least that’s what I thought. The conversation flowed easily, we even shared a few laughs, and I left the call feeling genuinely positive about it. Unfortunately, just a few days later I received a rejection email, which came as quite a surprise.
What was most disappointing wasn’t just the rejection, but the lack of feedback afterward. I asked for any feedback but never heard back. To make things even more confusing, I later saw that the exact same position was reposted on LinkedIn.
It’s frustrating to feel like you did well and then get no insight at all into what could’ve been improved, especially when the role is still open. Overall, my experience with the interview itself was positive, but the follow-up and transparency could definitely be improved.
