      SQL Developer Interview

      2 Apr 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boca Raton, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MovieTickets.com (Boca Raton, FL) in Mar 2016

      Interview

The overall process was fairly typical except that it was pretty quick. I got an e-mail from HR to set up an interview time. At the appointed time, I came in and filled out an application at the front desk and then the interview began. I was asked a pretty simple, in my opinion, set of questions. I was given some info on the position and asked if it fit with what I would enjoy doing. It very much did. Met with a couple other people that were primarily interested in whether I'd fit into the org personality-wise. It's kind of hard to convey personality via Q&A, but I think I did OK. The whole thing took about an hour and when I left I had a very good vibe and expected I'd hear back within the next day or so. When I got back home I immediately sent a follow up e-mail to thank them for the interview and to express my excitement about the position. And that's, more or less, the end of the story. I've gotten no response from them. After a week I called the HR person who'd originally e-mailed me and left a voice mail and politely asked for a status update. I never got a return call or mail of any kind. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I still expect to be afforded some common courtesy. If someone grants you an interview, you send a thank you back afterward. If someone interviews with you, you give them a phone call to say either yea or nay.
