Interview
Phone Interview and Online Assessment. We talked for a while on the phone and scheduled a day to go over the results for the online assessment - never got a call back; very unproffessional.

I applied online. I interviewed at Mutual of Omaha (Chicago, IL) in May 2026
Interview
The interview had 2 rounds and it was pretty smooth. But after that I got rejection without any reason on asking too. That was kind of off putting. As the managers were too impressed with my competence. A clear reasoning would have been helpful for me.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Mutual of Omaha (Trumbull, CT)
Interview
3 different meetings, all guised as "interviews" where you barely speak about your experience and listen to them talk about the position. Pretty much a waste of time if you ask me. At the end of this long process it ends up basically being you cold calling family and friends to sell them insurance. They say they'll "teach you" how to make it seem like you're not pedaling products when that's the whole job to start off. If you don't mind being "that guy" I'd say go for it, I'm sure you could make a decent amount of money, but the term "Financial Advisor" seems extremely misleading- I'd say it's more of "Insurance Salesman," at least to start. I'm sure it ends up being more advisory but getting through the first years selling insurance to your network for me is just not worth it.
