The process took 8+ weeks from applying to the end. I was very misled. During my interview, I was asked when I could start, told repeatedly it was a great interview, asked what branch I’d want to work at, etc. I reached out to the recruiter to follow up a week later. She said “I know the team is very excited about you and your background!” Then not even 24 hours later, I log in to see status “declined” no phone call, no email, nothing. So I reach out to the recruiter for clarification, and she says I was very impressive but they went a different direction. So then I reach out to the hiring manager for feedback on my interview, and I am completely ghosted. This was an 8 week process. I invested a lot of time into this. If I was really a top candidate at least show some transparency and respect. The job market is hard enough. You don’t need to keep candidates engaged and mislead them entirely only to reject and ghost them.

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at NBH Bank
Interview
Rating: 2/5 stars
Pros: The recruiter was beyond friendly, and we had a great screening call where they appreciated my STAR method answers and honestly chatted more than anything. They were understanding about a phone issue blocking their call (So it seems) and she was impressed with my background.
Cons: Applied for the Client Services & Solutions - Specialist II role on July 29, took a Predictive Index test July 30, and had a strong screening call the following day, but then NBH Bank completely ghosted me. No feedback, no rejection email, even after two follow-ups, as of September 2. The process felt disrespectful of my time, and I suspect they filled the role internally. The pay was also way too low for the job’s responsibilities.
Advice to Management: Communicate with candidates, even if it’s a rejection, and offer competitive pay for skilled applicants.
