Older candidate - Complex large NHS organisation. Ton of research beforehand. Time & expense of travel to interview. Didn't ask to see my ID, Right to Work documents as per policy. As I'm an older, well qualified & experienced accountancy hire - I found my answers to the interview questions were mostly also answering the next interview questions. Mostly the questions were designed to logically follow on from previous answers. The Panel asked me if I'd already seen the interview questions? Due to this statement/confirmation of my good performance alone, It's difficult to see how any other candidate could've performed better. Then nothing. After the interview,; days, weeks, months of checking my phone, email & letterbox. Still nothing. Just silence. My very first experience of being ignored after interview. 6 months later - the word "unsuccessful" appeared on my NHS Job Application Account. Felt really hurt by this. Felt my time & effort put in were disrespected & treated with contempt.
