I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter who said he had a position at Google that he thought I was a good fit for and asked for a time to chat. I suggested several call times for the following day, since I was at work and he replied with "we need to speak today." I rearranged my schedule to take the call. In the meantime I was sent the job description from a different person requesting my resume and asking for a call time also, which I replied to immediately. I took the call that I made time for and it was a third person that I had not been talking to. He could not barley speak English, was not prepared even with my resume in front of him, and instantly started asking about my past salaries. I answered all questions even the questions that I felt were inappropriate before even hearing a job description or an interview like question and the recruiter mentions he is going to email me the offer and I need to respond immediately. The whole thing left a very sketchy, uncomfortable feeling in my gut. I never received the email the phone interviewer stated but got a call back accusing me of not responding, so I asked him to resend it. I then received an email from yet a fourth person, I responded immediately. The following day I get a call back. I told him it was not a good time since I was at work, but he continued on with the exact same questions I had answered the day before about salary. Then he stated a price amount that they would pay me and wanted to know if I would accept that offer right now. The pay rate stated was less than half of what I am currently making and I would be leaving a manager role for a coordinator role, so I nicely stated that the position was not an option for me based on the information provided. The recruiter then spent the next 10+ minutes making 4 more offers that were only 1 dollar more than his original offer. I had to hang up on him due to the fact that he was not taking no for an answer. So long story short this was the weirdest, most unprofessional, and most insulting interview experience I have ever had.
