      Interview

After reading the reviews, I was a little scared, I was mistaken =). Easy questions and tasks. No pitfalls. Very nice people. All questions related to the pre-interview tasks from github.

      Ruby On Rails Developer Interview

      18 Dec 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Wrocław
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Netguru (Wrocław)

      Interview

I’ve been applying for about 3 years to the same or similar positions and I always get the same reply. They reject me right away and say they won’t engage in procedures to hire me as a foreigner, because I need a work permit or visa sponsorship and that takes much time. When I’m not in Poland they say I am not in the country and they can’t continue the process because I live abroad, if I’m in Poland they say they can’t continue the process because I need a work permit and they need someone at the moment. Funny fact is that 2 months (the time it takes to do the paperwork to hire a foreigner) later they still have a fresh ad on LinkedIn or their website looking for someone for the same or similar position. In their job ads they never mention as a requirement that you must have a valid work permit in order to apply to a position in their company. I start to think I’ve been discriminated just because I’m not Polish. I don’t even get an opportunity to prove the skills I listed on my resume. I’m extremely disappointed.

      Ruby On Rails Developer Interview

      28 Jun 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Netguru in Sept 2014

      Interview

Quick small talk with HR and senior dev about myself and my experience. Then some 1 hour pair programming with another dev, where I had to write or fix some code in shared online editor. I had instant feedback and could discuss solutions with the dev who was running pair programming so that's good. Few days after that session I have been approved to the next step which was an interview with the CEO, mostly general stuff about company and my experience. In the end I've received an email saying they won't hire me, but without any explanation as to why they won't hire me. Anyway most companies I've interviewed at didn't reply at all, so a "no" email is still more than silence.
