I completed four rounds of interviews for an asset management position, including an in-person meeting where I sat down with four team members. In total I spoke with seven people across the process. The interviews were well-organized and everyone I met was professional and engaged.
That made the ending more disappointing. After my fourth interview, I followed up twice for an update and received no response. Not a form email, not a brief note. Complete silence.
Four rounds and seven conversations is a significant time investment from a candidate. A simple closing note goes a long way, and the absence of one left a lasting impression on how this company values the people who show up for them. I hope they improve this part of their process for future candidates.
