      Build and Release Engineer Interview

      18 May 2019

      Sunnyvale, CA

      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Niantic (Sunnyvale, CA) in May 2019

      Interview

First talked to the company recruiter, she explained about the position and history of the company very clear. Then, I had a chance for 45 minutes of a technical video interview with one of the engineers. This interview was mostly technical questions and coding online. Luckily, I passed this round and went on the next round which is an onsite interview that took about 2.5 hours. I think the engineers interviewed me here were very nice. I don't feel much pressure during those 2.5 hours there. Lastly and luckily again, I had a chance to talk to the hiring manager. This interview was more like a conversation but one of the most enjoyable conversations. The whole process took about 2 weeks. Thanks to the recruiter that she helped to speed up the process quicker. She answered all the questions I had in a timely manner. Everyone I talked to from the recruiter -> interviewers -> hiring manager were very nice which made me feel very comfortable and excited about the position and the company.
