Great initial discussions, I pulled out on the technical interview stage. Upon receiving a technical task I said naaaah. In two hours building a solution in frontend & backend + make the design look good + make it responsive + write your technical decisions in the readme file? Really? I decided to prioritise other recruitment processes that seemed more reasonable.

I was approached by a recruiter. I had a brief call with them to discuss the role, and then arranged the first interview. The first interview was a call with one product engineer and one of the co-founders, which lasted an hour and was mostly focused on my previous experience and questions about my career to date. After that, I received a take-home technical task to do, which had clear instructions. The task felt like the right level of difficulty, although it was quite a long task and required a good time investment. I submitted this and was invited to the next stage of interviews the next day. The 2nd stage of interviews was in-person in the office, and lasted 3 hours - with time split between multiple interviewers. The first part was more technical, where we went through my tech test and discussed my approach to the problem. There was then a couple of chats with the design team and a co-founder, which were more general conversations. I once again received feedback promptly, and was invited to a final stage with the CEO - just an hour chat, with more of a focus on culture fit. I then received an offer a couple of days later. Overall, the process was quite long and involved, but I felt that I had a good opportunity to show what I can do, as well as learning more about the company and seeing if they are the right fit for me. Feedback was usually very prompt, and I was in contact with the team throughout the process, which was helpful.
