I applied online. I interviewed at Nuro (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
The interview focused on my background, resume projects, and machine learning fundamentals. Although the atmosphere remained friendly and conversational throughout, my delivery lacked depth, leaving me disappointed with my overall performance. To help you rebuild your confidence, tell me:What exact ML question felt difficult? What project needs a stronger explanation?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Nuro in Apr 2022
Interview
First it was a recruiter call. Then I got two phone screening, one with the head of perception and the other with a staff member. The first coding interview was a leetcode-style coding. There was a machine learning design as well.
I applied online. I interviewed at Nuro (Mountain View, CA) in Mar 2026
Interview
Applied online, got a tech screen. Tech screen was hard as they asked 3 things in an hour,
1) some Bash scripting debugging, who does this in 2026??
2) lc medium
3) random system deep dives
The interviewer was inexperienced and was a little arrogant. You could tell they had no mentoring or leadership experience and not sure why they would conduct the initial tech screen. This is not how modern tech screens should be conducted.
