Senior Statistical Analyst/Associate Statistical Consultant Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at OPEN Health in Nov 2025

      Interview

I applied for this position on November 6, 2025. The job description did not specify a salary, and since the requirements mentioned a senior role with 3+ years of experience and a PhD degree, I assumed they would be offering at least €55k+ per year. I proceeded with the application and indicated a salary range of €55k–€65k. Even though I hold a PhD and have several years of experience, and I was aware that this range is relatively low for my qualifications and the seniority of the role, I provided my minimum acceptable salary because I was genuinely interested in the position. Five days later, I received an invitation for an interview, and I scheduled a time with the Talent Acquisition specialist, Tina Geer. However, on the day of the interview, just five minutes before it was due to start, she cancelled it. I found this highly unprofessional, especially since the reason given was that my salary expectations were too high. I followed up by email, explaining that I was flexible and open to negotiation, as I was genuinely interested in the role. About a week later, she proceeded to interview me. Since then, despite sending two follow-up emails, I have not received any response, not even a rejection. Unfortunately, this experience gave me the impression of poor communication and a lack of professionalism in the process.
