Interview
During my interview with OnVia, my first initial impression with upper management is very poor. From my own perspective, they like to talk down to you and if you don't agree with their perspective on a design solution... then you're immediately "wrong" and blatantly told so during the interview. It's a very cold, single-sided and unwelcoming interview experience. The team at OnVia don't have their act together. There was a huge disconnect between how the interview went with the design team and management. Internal communication is terrible at this company. There's no cohesion in regards to the overall interview experience - It felt rush and hacked together. For example, the interview took half a day and they ultimately decided they no longer needed the position. It's by far the most unorganized company I have experienced. They could have figured that out with an internal meeting before wasting candidate's time and parking expenses. You're just left with a tasteless experience afterwards. This speak volumes about an organization's culture, vision and management. I'm not surprised by the negative reviews based on this one instance and glad I wasn't offered the position. There's better options in the Seattle area if you're looking into gaining real experience and establishing a career in big data, UI/UX and consulting.

Interview
First had a phone screen with the HR director. Had a little trouble scheduling but she stayed in contact and was flexible. Very nice chat, half hour and felt like she was real. Asked me questions, gave me time to ask mine and was clear about the next steps. The questions were not tough, but not ones I've heard before. Felt like a conversation.

Interview
I had a very brief conversation with the HR Director who is really bubbly and seemingly approachable but I later found that they were not at ALL interested in speaking further after talking compensation. In fact I was hung up on when I ask my first question. called both contacts and sent a followup email and nothing..... I week later I received an email that he job has been filled..... Really? Really? the HR Director handles business this way? I'm good. thanks!
