I wouldn’t even call it an interview, as I was hardly asked about my experience and instead was met with a judgmental tone and incorrect assumptions about my qualifications (which were clearly listed on my resume). It felt like no time was spent reviewing my background beforehand.
I was also told during the meeting that the full-time role I interviewed for was no longer available due to budget issues, and was instead offered an unpaid internship. This was disappointing and confusing, especially since the interview was scheduled for a full-time position. After multiple interviews, I feel that my time was wasted.

Question 1
Asked me to send over my portfolio and writing samples.
Multiple rounds with the same people, basically just described the role, kept changing the hours, start date, job title, responsibilities, salary, etc. at each interview. Very interested in your personality and how you work with people.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Organic Spa Magazine
Interview
I was called in for what I originally thought was an interview, but it was quickly revealed to me that the position had already been filled. After telling me I wasn't qualified for the advertising field, the interviewer wanted me to come up with "some kind of" non-paid work I could do for them. While I realize this was intended as a favor, the delivery was incredibly condescending. Anything I would mention was instantly shot down, and told to be unrelated to working at a magazine. It was an extremely roundabout way to decline a candidate, and I found myself very lucky to pursue another job opportunity. Regardless of how I was recruited and regardless of my experience being inapplicable, this was horribly unprofessional.
I have heard countless negative reviews of working here, all which state it is a very hostile and coarse environment. Something's gotta give!
