Had a great interview for an accounting role with the Recruiting Director who seemed very eager to move forward. She promised she would follow up with next steps "within a few days". She completely fell off the radar until I received the generic rejection e-mail over a month later. It's fine if you don't want to hire someone, but job searching is stressful enough - companies that lie to candidates and cannot even provide reasonably timely communication should be named and shamed.
I applied online. I interviewed at Out of the Box Technology
Interview
I had a great conversation with the Recruiting Manager, who assured me I would hear back from them about next steps "in 3-4 days". I never heard anything back. Though “ghosting” is a widespread practice these days, that doesn’t change the fact that it is unprofessional and reflects poorly on a company's values.
