I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Owner.com
Interview
I was really happy with the interview process until the end. The questions were practical, the interviewers were nice, and the recruiter was super kind and helpful and supportive. Things turned when I talked to the CTO, Dean. I could tell that he was multitasking during my interview, because he kept looking off to the side and when he asked follow up questions -- they were things that I had already answered in my initial response. It really changed my opinion of the company. I was going to pull out of the interview process, but I didn't get a chance since they ghosted me afterwards. At least it was mutual?

Although the interview was long, this was the best SWE interview process I've ever had. No leetcode questions, no "design Twitter", just passionate people hoping to get to know my skills, mindset, experience, and personality. Every interviewer was friendly, supportive, and understanding of my mental state, which helped me perform at my best. 10/10 recommend!

How did you handle technical architecture debates?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Owner.com in May 2025
Interview
The interview process started off positively. Everyone I spoke with was collaborative and helpful, and the recruiter communicated promptly throughout. However, things became frustrating toward the end. I was scheduled to meet with someone from senior leadership, which was then changed to someone else, and ultimately canceled at the last minute because they wanted me to speak with another person instead. That meeting was never scheduled. I was disappointed because I had spent time preparing for those conversations and felt like my time was wasted. Then, I was told that hiring was paused, with no follow up explanation provided.
