I had an interview through their recruiting local company. They just opened their first location in Ontario and are looking to expand in their traditional services market, Oil & Gas. However, Ontario is a consumer not a producer, so the industry is limited to a small refinery, some pipelines, storage and distribution. Their Alberta base believes they can conquer the Ontario market just because they serve the same oil companies in Alberta. They let go several people in Alberta back in late 2023 and the pressure to grow is Alberta and now in Ontario. They want to grow so much in Ontario that they ask for references before even having the first interview with them. If you are fine with non-sense pressure and lack of planning for opening a new market, then go for this company and opportunity. Note, the local management has little experience and the sales person will be the culprit for any failure, particularly for not producing purchase orders fast.
