I found the job advertising at remoteok, so I applied. In less than an hour they replied deciding to move forward to the next step. In my case it was a coding challenge divided into two problems.
The first one was to find the reason of an error on the data and report to the back end person and the customer support guy, so they can handle it. Solving the problem is not a requirement, but can be done, which I did.
The second problem was to fix a client side problem, things like filtering data, api handling, and so. I also managed to do it.
After that, they replied with the feedback, what they liked and what they didn't, really detailed, this first process is entirely humanized, which is great. After that, they say they will check if you passed to the next round.
One day later I got the repply, they said they looked at my experience and it wasn't enough. It wasn't that my solution was bad, it was experience. This is the point that made my opinion about the company go from good to neutral, they just didn't check the person resume before sending the challenge. They narrow down the people so they have less job. I know that "this is how businesses work", but there are some people desperate looking for a job, and making them wasting that much time is not good at all.
