I initially applied on-line when I was looking for work in a different Security Company and was sold on their advertised commitment to training. I was contacted by an HR representative within the week and given a quick phone interview with some basic questions and set up with a proper interview with the Client Service Manager. Upon arrival to the office, I met with the HR Rep and was treated very cordially and given a quick run-down about what would be involved in the Healthcare Contract, as well as some perks and benefits for working with the company. I was directed to the CSM's office and had an interview approximately half an hour in length which covered everything from my history, skills, career aspirations, and personality. I was impressed with the process and was made to feel like my skill set would be a welcome addition to what I perceived was a professional outfit. I was hired that day and given an orientation meeting that day with a number of other new hires. We were given a presentation on the company culture and copies of the employee manual which was well laid out and answered a fair number of questions that we had. We were also given the paperwork for submission to the municipal police department to get our company security licences. (Back before the current Security Services and Investigators Act of Alberta came into effect). I was impressed the whole process and the lack of waiting that I had to endure before starting with this company.
