I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Pandora in Oct 2017
Interview
Initially contacted by a recruiter and he asked for my availability for a chat, I answered with several dates and he replied saying the position had already been taken, all happened within merely 2 days. I see this as either of:
1. They don't take candidates seriously
2. Their recruiters have bad coordination
They really need to do some serious work before reaching out to others
The recruiter connected with me after my application through Linkedin reached her. Step 1 was very similar to any other recruiter-candidate QAs. Then the 2nd was phone IV with the Hiring Manager, which also went pretty well. The third was a collabedit session with one of the engineers from the team, which had basic questions of string-based algorithms and SQL. The thing is, the recrutier didnt even give me a feedback even after I followed up with her. She didnt reply, which I think is not professional. Feedback helps us to improve better and I think every company must work towards giving a feedback. As a candidate I felt to have wasted my time. The least I can get back from Pandora is a feedback or a polite reply of rejection.
