      Senior Site Reliability Engineer Interview

      10 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Parallel Domain

      Interview

My experience with this company's hiring process was disappointing. The process included a recruiter call, a hiring manager interview, and a system design assessment with a specific deadline. I invested significant time completing the assessment and submitted it before the deadline. After that, I was asked to provide my availability for the next round, which I promptly did. However, after submitting my availability, communication completely stopped. Despite multiple follow-ups over the past two weeks, I received no response from the recruiter regarding the status of my application. What I find most frustrating is that if the company had decided not to move forward with my candidacy, a simple rejection email would have been appreciated. Instead, after investing considerable time in the assessment process, I was left without any update or closure. Candidates invest their personal time preparing for interviews and completing assessments. The lack of communication after requesting that effort demonstrates a lack of respect for candidates' time. Based on my experience, I would encourage prospective candidates to carefully consider whether they want to invest significant time in this interview process.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Parallel Domain in Mar 2022

      Interview

I got contacted by a recruiter who seems to be good. However, once it got to the actual interviews, things became extremely messy. Unlike the info on LinkedIn, there is only 1 SRE left for the whole company, so things seems pretty chaotic. After the initial intro phone call, I was effectively ghosted with no mention if they want to continue. Then a month later, I got another recruiting email for the same position. This is fairly unprofessional and might hint at more dysfunction within the company

      Question 1

Ghosted, more likely to be scheduling/management issues as I don't have problem interviewing elsewhere.
