      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Pilot.com, Inc.

      Interview

I was contacted for a zoom interview that turned out to be a phone interview with Emily. It was a very professional and pleasant interview. Afterwards, I was contacted to perform the technical assessment which I found to be well structured and easy to understand. I found the email portion to be instructive and the financial statement review to be compelling. Then I received an email detailing a congratulation on having passed the assessment and schedule for the next interview. Ashley was a delight to speak with, answered my questions with aplomb, and imparted valuable perspective on pilot and the company's history. Following the Zoom with Ashley, I received a request for a phone call with Randy in which we spoke about details going forward. He sent me an offer within a few days and shortly thereafter I participated in a meet-the-team meeting put together by Andre. It was a pleasure to meet a few of the people that I will shortly be working with and the welcoming atmosphere made me excited to begin my new position.

      Question 1

I was asked to detail my work history and to relate a time when I had more to do than time to do and how I handled the situation. I was further asked about the nature of my previous management positions and about how I handled conflict. Next, I was asked about streamlining workflows in technical matters relating to my past experience. Finally, I was asked if I had any questions.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Pilot.com, Inc. (Nashville, TN) in Jul 2024

      Interview

Its a four step process starting with a 15 minute phone screen with the recruiter, if considered a potential fit you are scheduled for a virtual one on one Financial & Customer assessment with a Team Leader. If you pass those two you are moved to the last phase which is the categorization assessment with another Manager. If you meet their expectations they make you an offer afterwards

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Pilot.com, Inc. (Nashville, TN) in Mar 2020

      Interview

I applied online and was contacted a day after. The recruiter called and was very nice and informative. She spoke a lot about how great the company and CEO were. The actual interview was 2 hours, very untraditional and completed via Zoom. The first part was the accounting and finance portion. They basically give a balance sheet and account statement and your instructions are to answer various questions regarding the information. I completed with no issues. After this the interviewer asked a series of random accounting questions and 3 things I would research further. The second interview was a customer service practicum. The interviewer gave 3 emails and you are instructed to create a response. After that the interviewer proceeds to review. I didn’t proceed to the next level because they said I answered some of the accounting questions wrong and I took too long on the customer service emails so they “worried” I would not be able to pick up the customer service voice that they are looking for. The interesting thing is: we finished the interview early and I was never made aware that the time I took would disqualify me for the position. I figured the interview was an hour and that was the time I had. I do like that they are trying to be different but I feel like the expectations weren’t realistic or fair. For it to be a 2 hour interview and then get feedback thats sort of petty is almost backwards. I didn’t get to proceed to the “next level” but the recruiter said the next step would be to meet with the CEO to discuss her software and what you would change. I really don’t know how I feel about this. Its almost like your forced to give free advise on how to make her software better and your not even guaranteed the job. You almost giving free software consultation that other companies normally pay for. I feel like they make it seem as if their culture is inviting and diverse but in all actuality they are looking for a particular “type” of person and passing on people that are qualified and may actually be good for their company.
