I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Piper Sandler (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2021
Interview
The interview process was very formal, as one would expect with an investment banking role. It was pretty typical, with the standard technical questions and introductory questions to see if you would be a good fit for the team
4 rounds. 30-45 min each spread across 4 weeks. 2 Associates, 1 director, 1 Managing director. Slow process but interviews were ok. This was for their investment banking division in New York.
Friendly. Lots of questions about previous deals worked on. Several light technicals. Focus on current job, responsibilities, particularly on calls. 1 initial interview over zoom. Then a 2 on 1 interview
First stage was an assessment followed by a hirevue video interview followed by a first round interview with an analyst and associate and then there was an assessment centre in the office with two associates and a vice president
