Note: all interviews were conducted via Zoom.
Pipeworks had me complete an online coding test. The test was timed (80 minutes) and required me to solve 5-6 problems at hackerrank. The test was of average difficulty, and I was never asked about anything in it in any of the subsequent interviews.
This was followed by 20-30 minute interview with HR that had fairly standard questions about background/experience and some behavioral stuff.
Next interview was with 2 engineers and was more technical in nature. They asked me about my background, my interests, and then they had me explain some basic computer science concepts and talk about projects that I worked on.
Third interview had me coding in front of 2 engineers. I won't get into specifics, because I had to sign an NDA, but I did poorly in this one.
The fourth and final interview was with another engineer and the CTO. They asked questions to assess team and company value alignment.
Unfortunately, they settled on another candidate (after around 3-4 weeks of deliberation), but their decision made sense to me as I honestly did botch a couple of the interviews.
Overall, the entire experience was good. Every person that I interacted with was pleasant, and HR did a great job of keeping me updated as to what was happening behind the scenes.
