I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (Pittsburgh, PA) in Nov 2021
Interview
I interviewed with different people about the position. It was a friendly, casual environment. They were mostly interested in my design abilities and a few things not included in the job description. They were very interested in my views on design in general. They were very thorough and professional.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How I would handle differing views on a design project.
Pretty normal, everything seemed quite standard. The human resources person seemed rather rushed and a bit busy which was reflected but otherwise perfectly professional. Definitely got a bit more technical as it went on but very standard interview.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (Pittsburgh, PA) in Feb 2011
Interview
It was like Keystone Cops with HR and managers falling all over themselves. The Post-Gazette is located in the city with limited parking. I not only had to interview with 3 different people on 3 different days, but I had to pay $12 each time to park. They asked standard interview questions and instead of listening to my answer they would try to write down every word I said.
