I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Plusgrade (Montreal, QC) in Feb 2020
Interview
The interview was divided into three parts: 1- general questions about the candidate's background and experience, 2- a whiteboard programming assignment (with focus on problem solving), 3- general discussion and candidate questions.
First a Video Chat Interview Screen - some technical question
Then an in person interview which had random technical questions throughout the process followed by some whiteboard questions. The interviewer did not know JS which was required for the position so I needed to explain things and what certain JS functions could do. After finishing I was given no feedback and asked to include test code. Even though I felt like I was doing good there was this tense and awkward vibe. Then the interviewer just took over the question and showed how he would do it. It was odd. The interview ended and I was told I would hear back within 2 days. I waited 1 week and then I had to email for an update to even receive any kind of feedback. Seems like a great company to work for though and it wasn't a terrible experience
