Interview
After the initial call with the recruiter, they sent me a HackerRank test. The HackerRank website requested webcam access, and my camera was on for the entire duration. Overall, the experience was good, but I felt the time allotted for the entire test was insufficient.

Question 1
The test consisted of three questions. The first was a logic question, the second involved writing code to call an API and process its response, and the third required writing an SQL query. The total time allotted for completing the test was 90 minutes.

Interview
Spoke with the recruiter. Standard getting to know you interview. After that, was handed a HackerRank test. If I were to pass that, there would have been something similar to a in office interview to demonstrate additional critical thinking. After that, a culture fitting type interview.

First screening they ask about your past experiences and skills. After that they told me the role was for the Payments Team, and what experience related to that I had in the past.
After I explained the recruiter asked to make a customized resume focusing on my experiences related to payments and meanwhile she was gonna talk to her manager and that she would get back to me in two days for a feedback either positive or negative.
I did the resume right away and emailed her, but she never responded anymore.
I tried contacting some other people from the company HR on LinkedIn including a tech manager but no one even bothered answering me.
Its ridiculous how mid sized companies are becoming and how they treat people looking for work. I did match all the skills needed for the role and still I wasn't even considered. Which is the company right to decline a candidate, but its ridiculous how they simply ignore us.
I've been looking for a job for a few months now and it only gets worse to see how companies who become a little bit successful start treating their candidates.
I do hope Podium improves that and at least give their candidates an explanation on why they weren't selected as we get really anxious after an interview and this the ethical thing to do, besides the efforts and time we spend with they useless assessments.
