I was contacted for an in-person interview for a New Product Development Engineer. Nobody was at the front desk when I arrived on time. I waited several minutes for someone to approach and then several more minutes for the proper manager to be contacted. During the interview, the manager had very few questions about my background or experience. He only asked my salary requirements. He began describing a completely different position than the one I applied to and explained how new grads would be a better fit for it. This other position subsequently paid significantly lower than what a new grad with my degree should expect. I felt like the company used a bait and switch because they advertised a different position than the one the one that was offered. Overall, I found the entire process to be unprofessional.
