I was recruited for a contract position at one of Pyramid's clients in Chicago, IL. I interviewed briefly with a recruiter based in Texas within Pyramid.
That recruiter moved me on to speak with their client. We discussed my experience and skillset, which was a close match to the requirements of the role. At the end of my interview, I directly asked the client if he saw any roadblocks or had any concerns that would hold me back from moving into the next round of the process. He said he did not, and that he felt that my skillset and experience translated well to the role's specifications and requirements.
I was advised that I would hear back by last Wednesday, just before the Holiday break. I had to BEG the recruiter to reply, who finally did tell me that I was not moving forward in the process. It's almost as if the recruiter wanted to ghost me after promising me that I would hear back either way before the Holiday break. She made no effort to understand why I was not moved forward in the process, and made no effort to pass this information on last week when she received it. In fact, she mentioned that spending time with her family was more important than finishing out her Holiday week last week.
