I only got to the first stage, but according to what they told me, it is comprised of 3 steps:
1 - HR - I was interviewed by 2 HR people
2 - Interview with Hiring Manager and maybe someone else on the team
3 - A case study to be presented to the Hiring Manager
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my knowledge of Meta Ads, Linkedin and Tiktok. Also, how well I knew Analytics tools.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Q1Media
Interview
Recruiter reached out due to my experience, but wasn’t familiar with my experience when we spoke so it was kind of a waste of a lunch break.
It sounds like a great company with lots of training and advancement opportunities, but I would perhaps ask more questions upfront to ensure you’re what they’re looking for before proceeding with scheduling anything which is kind of counter-intuitive, but I guess that’s the job market.
Worse things have definitely happened, but I’ve been interviewing for years now and a recruiter reaching out without reviewing my background was a first for me so didn’t really feel they were respectful of my time.
Thank you for your interview review! We're glad that you picked up on the opportunities that are available here at Q1Media :)
To shed a bit of light on the recruiting process-- we review all applications and LinkedIn profiles before scheduling an interview. We always ask lots of questions to get to know our candidates more during that first conversation. Sometimes we don't know the details of a specific company or job title when reviewing candidates and applicants, and as such, we ask more detailed questions to ensure we know exactly what prior roles entailed and what previous employers do. We certainly apologize if this came across as not reviewing a background; we just need to dive a bit deeper sometimes during that first call!
We appreciate your time and wish you all the best!
I applied online. I interviewed at Q1Media (Austin, TX) in Sept 2016
Interview
I had a phone screen within 2 days. I had a tech screen within 2 weeks. I was hired in just under a month.
The tech screen used an online peer programming tool and we remained on a call throughout it. The hiring manager administered the screen.
