The interview experience left me quite disappointed and I am compelled to share my feedback. The interviewer initially expressed a desire to test my English skills by conducting the interview in English. However, she did not understand my answer in English, and she quickly switched back to her mother language, citing convenience. This transition hindered effective communication. Throughout the interview, I felt judged about my life choices. Questions such as "why did you move to this country?" and comments about the perceived inadequacy of my output were unprofessional and irrelevant to the job interview. Additionally, the interviewer demonstrated a lack of understanding regarding the working visa policy of another country, leading to unfounded suspicions about my background - She admitted suspecting that I left the country because I convict a crime! When I communicated my discomfort and feeling of being judged, the response I received was dismissive, with the statement that "interview itself is a process for people being judged." However, it's important to note that an interview is a mutual selection process where both the candidate and the employer assess each other. Constructive feedback for improvement would be to ensure consistent language during the interview, avoid making assumptions about candidates' life choices, and maintain a respectful and professional tone throughout the process. My message to the company: find a decent HR who knows how to respect people and who speaks English if she wants to test interviewee's English skills!
