Interview
I applied on line and was asked to come in for an interview.
I sat in the waiting area for 20 minutes as the interviewer and the receptionist were casually talking, ignoring the fact that people were waiting. Then interviewer greeted me with a phony smile and attitude. I will never go through this agency again. The people in the waiting area agreed with me that the staff were unprofessional. One person actually got up and walked out. That's pretty sad.
The recruiter was disorganized and very short with me. She conitnually downplayed my experience even though my resume was quite extensive. I got the feeling she did not want to pay me in accordance with my experience, a regular occurence in this area of New York. I can think of another reason someone would do that but I'd rather think it was for miserly reasons. I took a skills test and I did get placed three weeks later. The assignment lasted less than two weeks and when I checked in at the end I was told they had no other assignments for me. I never heard from them again which was strange because the people in the office i was assigned to were very pleased with the work i did.
