It was not even a "mediocre" experience. It was just a waste of time.
The interviewers -albeit having worked at the bank for more than a decade each- seemed really unprepared, did not introduce themselves, did not give any intro information about the position or the department, didn't know my name (had to double check during the meeting) or read my application thoroughly before the meeting. They were genuinely surprised that I wanted to do the interview in English despite the fact that it was clear in my CV that I was not professionally fluent in Dutch and I was contacted in English by the HR before to set up this meeting.
They asked very generic questions, none of which were knowledge related. They had to think for their answers when I asked questions like "how is the onboarding process". Very short interview, seemed like they were checked out long before.
HR did not respond to an email I sent prior to the interview. No response to an email after either.
A generic rejection email with no real feedback was sent a week later. When I asked for a feedback form about the application process, I received a whopping no response again.
You'd expect that a bank which is chosen as one of the best places to work every year would do better.
