Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa interview questions

I applied online and got emailed to interview a few days later. The interview with the two accounting employees only lasted 5 minutes. They weren’t making eye contact and they were lazily reading generic questions from a script. These questions were already in my job application from their website. They didn’t seem engaged or willing to evaluate me at all. They seemed like they were trying to rush through “X” amount of interviews with someone else (like a referral) already in mind. They sent me to interview with HR just 5 minutes after their rushed interview. The HR director was nice and promised to call me for a 2nd interview with a set date and time later that week. She never did. I got a feeling that this company had a referral candidate already in mind, but still had to complete a certain amount of interviews for HR compliance.
