Applied online. Recruiter set up online interview after taking assessments. Interview with recruiter was simple and getting to know experience. Recruiter outlines pay for position and told me pay for region based on my experience. I told the recruiter that pay range would be fine to move forward. Set up in person interview. Interview went well, the interviewer showed up a little late no big deal. At the end he asked what pay I was looking for and I told him. Next day recruiter calls and says they want to extend offer but pay is 3-5 dollars per hour less than what they told me before. I told recruiter no thanks, the recruiter asked what pay I wanted again, I told the recruiter, they said that was not in the pay range they told me and stated a pay range 3-5 dollars less than before. I corrected the recruiter and said this is what you told me before, the recruiter then stated the hiring manager won’t go for the amount you want. I said that’s okay thank you anyway.
