I interviewed for an SEO analyst position. During my interview, Tracey, their VP of Operations, suggested I instead apply for a Technical SEO position. Her reasoning being that they already had a couple of SEO analysts undergoing the interview process and she felt my skills aligned better with a different role.
A week later, I met with two of their Technical SEO managers who came off very condescending in my interview. It was an odd and awkward interview where I felt like they did not want to meet with me in the first place.
Anyways, I was told I would hear back from Tracey by the end of the week. The week came and went. Then, a month. Then, two months. I reached out to them twice to ask for an update on my application and I was ghosted.
It’s my first and only time being ghosted by a company. Extremely unprofessional.
