My experience with the interview process lacked professionalism and clear communication.
The process began with the recruiter misspelling my name and providing unclear details about next steps. In one email, I was told another individual would be calling me, but no title, last name, or explanation of their role was included, requiring me to follow up for clarification.
After about a month, I was invited to meet with a broader team. Early in the conversation, I was asked why I live where I do, followed by a comment questioning why anyone would want to live there, which felt unnecessary in a professional setting. During the panel, one interviewer appeared to be on their phone while another was focused on their laptop, creating an impression of disengagement.
Less than 24 hours later, I received a generic rejection email that was not addressed to me and thanked me for my “application,” despite having completed multiple interviews.
Overall, the process felt disorganized and did not reflect a strong candidate experience.
