The whole thing felt pretty unorganized and dragged out for over a month. I went through three rounds: a recruiter screen, a manager interview, and a panel presentation. At first, they gave me a take-home case with random data and a few questions. I spent a lot of time putting together a solid presentation, only to be told they were changing the process and wanted me to do a different case instead.
This new one was about building a FHIR integration plan, which is something I’ve done plenty of times. I put together another presentation, and the panel seemed to go well. But then they threw in some random data questions that had nothing to do with the case and hadn’t come up in earlier rounds.
A few days later, the recruiter called to say I didn’t get the role, and they couldn’t give me any real feedback. Honestly, it felt like a huge waste of time. It didn’t seem like they had a clear idea of what they were looking for. I find it funny that they asked me to invest all this time into their process but couldn’t spare 5 mins to provide a solid reason for their decision. This company doesn’t care about candidates, I’d avoid.
