I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Regions Financial (Birmingham, AL) in Jan 2012
Interview
New tellers are required to sign up for a teller test. After the test results, applications are sent out to managers in the area you are looking for. Phone calls are made by interested managers who set up the interview. I have seen tellers hired after the first interview, or others called back for a second one. After approved, the candidate completes a drug screening and background check. Once these results are positive, the new employee is given a start date for orientation.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Regions Financial (Austin, TX) in Mar 2017
Interview
Current employee making a lateral move because branch was closing. The interview took all of 5 minutes, and was not in a private setting. Was at my current branch where other employees and customers could hear every word.
It was pretty simple, a lot of sales focused questions, and behavior based questions. Just be a "bubbly" person, that likes sales and the interview will go well.

Interview
Applied online 6 months ago took teller test. According to recruiter test stays on file forever, until they get a new test to use. I went back and applied for the BSL position and three other positions and got a call a week later, about the BSL, recruiter called to set up interview, interviewed with bank manager the next day (and asst. mgr, although she was in and out), then met with Community Market Manager (CMM) three days after that. While in the interview CMM asked me about a Bank Manager( BM) position, since I had prior experience as a Bank Manager. She called the recruiter who called me within two hours of leaving my interview to setup the test. Passed the test, recruiter called to make offer for BM position, accepted offer.
