      Geologist Interview

      21 Nov 2016
      Anonymous employee
      The Woodlands, TX
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through university. I interviewed at Repsol (The Woodlands, TX)

      Interview

I applied by sending an email to the HR rep who visited my campus, they called and I went into the office for a group interview. I met with different specialist where they explained their jobs and asked me questions about my background and interests. Then about a week later I got a phone call with my acceptance. I submitted forms via email.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked about my background and work interests. They also asked me about past work experience.

      Positive experience

      Application

      Interview

Three stages of interview, friendly people. They ask for medical checkup as the last step for the employment contract. Although little room for negotiation of the salary. Salary progression is also bad. Maybe you need to learn Spanish to progress faster.

      Geologist Interview

      9 Feb 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      The Woodlands, TX
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Repsol (The Woodlands, TX) in Jan 2014

      Interview

Their hiring process begins with a tedious online application that is extremely poorly laid out. The online application only allows you to enter four jobs and does not provide you with the ability to add more previous positions. The online application does not auto-save and crashed frequently when I was using it. A very tedious process. A more professional company looks at your submitted resume and cover letter and, if interested, asks you to fill out the application. They wasted a lot of my equally-important time. And the job description was ambiguous as to the job's location - is it Alaska or Texas?

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

The usual uninspired standard interview questions were asked. They seemed overly-concerned with my level of speaking Spanish, but this is the United States and The Woodlands Texas specifically! I am a professional with a Master's degree and felt the interviewer did not quite understand my qualifications and what I had to offer them.
