I applied online. I interviewed at Republic Airways (Columbus, OH) in Sept 2017
Interview
Very quick and smooth process, everything is laid out in detail on how you are supposed to apply and continue your application to the company. Here is the timeline:
9/ 13/17-applied
9/14/17-request for video interview
9/15/17-I completed the video interview around 8:30 am and received a email saying congratulations we would like to move forward etc etc and they sent the background consent form etc etc. Still waiting on training dates so anyone who might be going to the same training let me know!
Update: My training will be starting in January! If anyone else might be going at the same time let me know!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I can't remember all of them, but it was general customer service questions nothing to difficult. All the questions are here on glass door. But don't memorize each question and "script" yourself, because they will all be different on your video interview.
Watched a video explaining the role and company values. Then, there was an opportunity to practice recording. Make sure you look into the camera, and not at yourself! Most of the questions you are only allowed to record once. The question is presented, and you are giving 1-2 minutes to prepare your response.
I applied online. I interviewed at Republic Airways in May 2025
Interview
One-way video interview—2 minutes prep time for each question, 2 minutes allowed for each response, no retakes. There was an 11-minute intro video that discussed the company's background, mission, culture statement, scheduling, and pay expectations. This was followed by a 2.5-minute tutorial on how to record and submit responses. There was also an opportunity to do a practice recording before beginning, so that was helpful. It was very awkward to talk directly to the camera without a person there, so be prepared for that, but it was good practice and a learning experience if nothing else. I recommend recording yourself responding to interview questions before sitting down to do the interview.
Interview questions [5]
Question 1
Tell us about yourself and why you want to be a flight attendant with Republic Airways.
I interviewed at Republic Airways (Maryland Park, MD)
Interview
Virtual recorded responses. About six questions, the question appeared on the screen, there's a countdown, then you must record your response. Some questions we're a timed for one minute with one minute to respond. Some allowed more time to respond.
