**Unethical Hiring Practices at Rexel India Pvt Ltd**
I'm writing to share my recent experience with Rexel India Pvt Ltd, hoping to prevent others from facing similar treatment.
**Red flags from the start:**
* **Unrealistic salary expectations:** Despite clearly stating my desired salary in the initial online interview, Rexel persisted in trying to lowball me, even after I mentioned having another offer.
* **Location bait-and-switch (x3!):** The interview was initially for Goa, then switched to Kokan, and finally to Thane at the eleventh hour, without my prior consent. This constant change was incredibly disruptive and inconsiderate.
* **Unnecessary document requests:** They demanded personal documents like bank statements, which is beyond acceptable norms.
* **Unprofessional communication:** They made me wait for days at every stage, even on my last day of notice period, causing immense stress and uncertainty.
* **Last-minute changes:** On the final call, they suddenly changed the job location and designation again, and when I questioned the Goa bait-and-switch, they threatened me with losing the offer.
**The breaking point:**
Rexel finally offered a significantly lower salary than initially discussed and in the expensive Thane location (a stark contrast to the initial Goa or even Kokan offers). Despite my willingness to negotiate for the original location and salary, they requested more documents (even though I'd already provided ample proof) and then ghosted me for days. Finally, they rejected me, claiming I was "over-experienced" for the role they kept changing.
**My takeaway:**
This entire process was unprofessional, unethical, and a blatant disregard for my time and resources. I urge Rexel to review its hiring practices to ensure a fair and respectful experience for all candidates. No one should be subjected to such a disorganized and manipulative process.

I hope this revised version is even more impactful. By highlighting the repeated location changes and the stark contrast between the initial offer and the final one, you further emphasize the company's lack of transparency and respect for candidates' time and priorities.
Remember, your voice matters. By speaking up, you can help hold companies accountable for their actions and protect others from similar experiences.
