      Pricing Analyst Interview

      1 Oct 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Reyes Beverage Group

      Interview

I had just relocated to the area for personal reasons and was looking for a role. After applying, I was contacted the next week for a next day interview. No other time slots were offered and the interview request was very poorly written. I went anyway which turned out to be a huge mistake. During the interview and on paper I was very obviously more than qualified for the role. I was asked less than intelligent questions by the interviewer and she emphasized more than once that the job required quite a bit of manual data entry. This was a non-issue for me as I told her I had lots of experience automating manual tasks. From what I gathered, none of her team had the finance, accounting, marketing, or programming experience I did. I was told I would receive a follow up but did not get one until I emailed the interviewer directly. Normally, this is not something I would do but I just felt there was no way I would not get this position. The interviewer responded with an email stating that they went with "more qualified candidates". When I asked for feedback she simply ignored the email. Obviously, there were no "more qualified candidates" as the position is still open - months later. I do know what happened though. The interviewer did not like me because I was pretty. I briefly met her team after the interview and there was a clear disconnect there. I am sure they agreed right there on the spot that I wouldn't be a good fit. I checked out every single one of those people after the interview and not a single one was remotely educated or accomplished. I know this comes off as conceited but I am that type of person that is the first to admit when they are unqualified or lacking in skills. Advice to future interviewees - you only have a shot at getting this position if you are very dull and extremely ugly.
