      Technician Coordinator Interview

      17 Jan 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Roo Veterinary (New York, NY) in Jan 2026

      Interview

Overall, 5/5 stars for interview process—I felt that I was kept in the loop the whole way throughout the process on where I stood in my interview process. I felt ROO truly takes initiative for hiring people who will succeed in this role (not just hiring the first qualified person and/or the first person who just ‘checks the boxes’), and they take responsibility for hiring GOOD people who bring positive change and solutions to the company/platform/department; they truly take the time to assess your personality and if it will mesh well with their work culture.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

1st Interview Recruiter Q’s: **Be ready for a discussion of questions—ROO is thorough… come prepared!! (The interviewer should also be prepared with follow up questions at the end of the interview as this is recommended to do based on the handout that’s given explaining the interview process.)** She was welcoming and very informative. She asked me about my background as an LVT and questions like— “How have you handled a situation where a VT gets frustrated/angry/anxious while doing a task” and “Explain any negative situations with past Practice Managers in the past that you’ve come across and how you handled it.” 2nd Interview Hiring Manager Q’s: She asked questions like—“How would you handle a situation where a ROO technician showed up for a shift and is being belligerent with the Hospital’s Practice Manager?” and also “How would you support technicians on the platform that are discouraged from not obtaining any shifts yet?” Hiring Manager was also welcoming but more direct in explaining the pros/cons of this role—which I appreciated… instead of hiding the cons of the role… she explained how ROO supports you in improving these ‘con’ areas for yourself and how you are never alone in your role. She was upfront about how there is a fine line in this role of balancing empathy with having ‘tough skin’ (with setting expectations/boundaries for VTs on platform and how to handle anxious/stressed/angry VT on platform). Explained how this position needs someone resilient in dealing with difficult VTs (abusing the platform with no shows/callouts, etc).
