I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Royal Caribbean Group (Makati City) in May 2022
Interview
The interviewer was very nice and focused more on questioning job experience and how I handle my job. She asked how I respond to certain situations. I had two interviews and luckily got in.

Question 1
What is your previous job? How do you handle stress? Why do you want to work here
Be prepared for the ghosting process. I've done quite a few interviews with other companies and this took the cake for unprofessionalism. Did an HR round, then the hiring manager round. I was told to complete a case study. But after sending it , I waited a week until I got the generic "we regret to inform you...". If you already had someone in mind for the job, why make me spend my weekend completing a case study? Absolutely waste of a time interviewing here.

Question 1
Why Royal Caribbean? Will you need relocation assitance?
I applied online. I interviewed at Royal Caribbean Group
Interview
Recruiter screen by phone or interview, 30-45 min hiring manager conversation, and then panel / presentation interview or additional stakeholder interviews. General questions about related experiences, motivations for applying to the role, and behavioral questions. There were no challenging technical questions. At most I was asked to create a forecast, but Excel was sufficient for that.
The recruiters and hiring teams generally don't respond for days or weeks and just ghost. It's best to not taking interviewing for Royal Caribbean seriously especially if you are more than qualified or applying for a Lead+ senior role. It can be good for interview practice if you get to the panel stage. Bring your expectations down to the floor and be sure to have other options. One of my best professional experiences was taking a full-time offer while interning with RCG because they had already shown no interest in hiring me full-time despite HR being bothered that I needed to leave my internship after a month for a full-time role in another state.
At the start of the process and interviews, they are responsive and courteous. After that, they go completely unresponsive. It seems like common practice that Royal Caribbean's HR and hiring managers often ghosts candidates. It's very concerning that a corporation as large as this, has such shady hiring practices. After several rounds/months of interviews, they could at least acknowledge an email. It seems like many candidates have had similar experiences and with different teams. Perhaps it is time to rethink this "strategy" Royal.
