they shortlisted me for a data analyst role but during interview they changed it to electrical as i am from different background then why they shortlisted me first and they could have rejected before also.

first aptitude test then gd round happened. the topic was 'ding-dong vs ping-pong.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SLB (New Delhi) in Sept 2024
Interview
Aptitude round followed by a group discussion round and then finally an interview round. All the rounds are eliminatory.
Aptitude-> Group Discussion -> Interview.
It was a one day drive hiring process.
First round- resume shortlisted
Second round- resume discussion, basic dsa question, power bi questions
Third round- os, dbms, oops question, dsa questions but in this round the interviewer was very rude
