I interviewed at San Ramon Valley Unified School District (San Ramon, CA)
Interview
Online application. They needed a resume and cover letter. No interview really except for just a few informal questions… basically you just needed to meet the criteria. You need to get your emergency 30 substitution license and have a 4 year degree.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at San Ramon Valley Unified School District
Interview
Good interview with principal and interview panel, but once it is turned over to HR, everything falls apart. The interview team wants you for your experience but the District Office works as hard as they can to give you as little credit as possible on the salary schedule. They undermine their principals who are trying to get the best teachers for their students. The salary ends up being so low that you can't make a living in the SF Bay Area. Also, most of those who are offered part-time teaching appointments will NOT progress annually on the salary schedule so be sure to ask about that. I would suggest that you get your starting salary in writing before committing with this District.
