I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sansin (Edmonton, AB) in Nov 2023
Interview
First interview was a screening interview, followed by a somewhat "odd" second interview.
To begin, I was asked to summarize my professional experience and successes along the way – this took about 15 minutes, and then, that was it. No further questions. I thought this was an awfully short timeframe and effort to learn about who I am and what I can do for Sansin.
Interviewer then gave me an opportunity to ask questions, where I had many. These were all questions that were not answered through the job posting, or those one cannot learn the answers to without asking someone who works for the organization – e.g. What is the culture like at Sansin? What is the leadership style of the person to whom this position reports? What attracted you to work with this organization? What challenges does Sansin face in the industry? Etc. The interviewer's answers left me feeling underwhelmed…very generic answers that gave me minimal insight and did little to inspire me or help me determine how I might be a fit.
In particular, one of my last questions was about the salary range for this position. Neither the posting on your website or the posting sent to me through our alumni mailout gave any indication. When asked, the interviewer appeared annoyed that I’d done so, indicating that it was mentioned in the job posting. When I said that I unable to locate this, the interviewer indicated that it must be on the Indeed version of the posting. And then she gave me the salary range.

Question 1
See above...they only asked me ONE question, which was to describe my professional experience and successes along the way.
We went over my resume and for each job posted I had to say a good thing and a bad thing about each of my bosses. That was it. It didn’t feel like an interview, it felt like they were gushing loyalty and how you deal with bosses. It was a bit weird.

Question 1
For each boss: what was their strength. What was their weakness.
It was easy peasy, they were kind and let me talk about my past experiences as a Jed-I it was nice. I think the best part was that we can consider this easy peasy mac n cheesy
