      Account Executive Interview

      21 Nov 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Scholastic

      Interview

I traveled to a nearby metropolitan city for my interview since the hiring manager lived in another state. We met in the lobby of a nice hotel and he was very professional. I was nervous because it was the first time I had been to such an interview. He asked some very difficult questions but had a demeanor that kept me at ease.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I think the most difficult questions had to do with my sales experience. I was not very experienced in sales, so it was hard to articulate my understanding of how to do sales, especially in the book industry.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Scholastic (Indianapolis, IN) in Nov 2024

      Interview

There were 6 rounds of interviews. I interviewed with a lot of people. HR, Manager, peer, VP, Consultant and final with manager. The process was pretty quick considering how many interviews there were. I liked the process because I felt like I knew people from all levels when I started.

      Question 1

To have a sales strategy plan together for final interview.
